Intelligent Women: The Israeli Women who Lead the Artificial Intelligence RevolutionThere is also a shortage of academic power to train the next generation: Dr. Kira Radinsky, a senior scientist at eBay Israel [a graduate and a faculty member in Technion computer science], says this is a real challenge: "Today's data sciences, unlike the cyber field, Doctoral degree in the field, require extensive academic training of artificial intelligence and machine learning. There is a shortage of academic power to train the next generation of data scientists. Without competent manpower the industry encounters difficulties. In the US alone, there is a shortage of 250,000 data scientists, and demand is rising without real ability to close the gap.
