CS is proud to congratulate Prof. Hagit Attiya on her appointment to the Technion Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs (MANLA). The office is in charge of academic and administrative duties in relation to the Technion academic staff.

In 2011 Hagit received The Michael Bruno Memorial Award which is granted to scholars and scientists of truly exceptional promise, whose achievements to date provide hope for future breakthroughs in their respective fields. Candidates must be under the age of 50. In addition she received in 2011 the prestigious Edsger W. Dijkstra Prize in Distributed Computing for her paper "Sharing Memory Robustly in Message-Passing Systems" which appeared in 1995 in the leading journal of the ACM.

Hagit also served as a member on the Council for Higher Education in the years 2010-2012.
