Prof. Seffi Naor and Prof. Roy Schwartz, with CS grads Niv Buchbinder and Moran Feldman, received the SIAM Outstanding Paper Prize for their paper "A Tight Linear Time (1/2)-Approximation for Unconstrained Submodular Maximization" which appeared in the SIAM Journal on Computing (SICOMP). The prize is given to three outstanding papers out of thousands published in SIAM journals during the three years prior to the year of the award. Congratulations to Seffi, Roy, Niv and Moran!

Eight successful start-up companies participated in a unique vigorous fair in the computer science faculty on April 20th 2016. The participating companies were: Augury, Bidalgo, BreezoMeter, Checkmarx, Jelly Button, Kaltura, Outbrain and Zerto. Each company presented itself, its technology and challenges. The company's representatives gave short lectures while the faculty's lobby was filled with energetic activity of the students, the companies and lots of surprises!
