CS Programming Contest 2018

CS Programming Contest 2018 The traditional CS programming contest was held for the 13th time in a row on Monday, July 2, 2018, sponsored by Google and Microsoft.

Fifty two participation of 18 teams received 10 different problems and wrote 80 solutions in 5 hours.

Final standings for the competition:

1st place - Golden Medal (for the 2nd time in a row, Team 18, solved 10 problems:
- Vova Polosukhin
- Artem Shtefan
- Dean Leitersdorf

2nd place - Silver Medal, Team 15, solved 6 problems:
- Ilan Ben Danan
- Sharon Yogev
- Shira Weiss
 
3rd place - Silver Medal, Team 9, solved 5 problems:

- Rami Masalha
- Marwa Mouallem
- Benaya Koren

4th place - Bronze Medal, Team 3, solved 6 problems:
- Evgenii Zheltonozhskii
- Hila Chefer
- Ortal Cohen

5th place - Bronze Medal, Team 1, solved 5 problems:
- Ameer Amer
- Matan Pugach
- Omer Glick

The students are all graduates of the Competitive Programming workshop, directed by Nofar Carmeli, Aviram Magen and Yufei Zheng, who also organized the contest, supervised by Prof. Gill Barequet. The winning team will represent the faculty and the Technion in the prestigious programming contest ACM/ICPC, to be held in Paris in November 2018.

Thanks to all participants and organizers, to Google and Microsoft for the support, congratulations to the winning teams and good luck in Paris!
