One of the opponents is Prof. Eli Bihm, head of the Technion Cyber Center [and a faculty member of Technion CS]  "Imagine a situation where a fingerprint is found by the husband in the couple's bedroom. He turns to a private investigator, who bribes a policeman to check for him the fingerprint in the database. Why should there be an option like that?" Biham wonders. They did a Pilot but no one has ever asked to examine the outcome risk of the datatbase or what should be done to reduce it".
