The first Research Meetup on artificial intelligence, with a Focus on NLP, was held on Wednesday evening, April 6th, on the Taub Terrace which was full o participants and looked very festive.

The meeting's goal was to bring together Israel’s ML and NLP communities in a setting far more casual than the traditional well known seminar/conference/poster session.

The event format included a meeting of undergraduate and graduate students, researchers and faculty with industry researchers (Amazon, IBM, Microsoft, Google, Gong and more), at round tables setting where researchers were invited to discuss interesting problems they are tackling as part of their current and past projects, to locate summer internships and future collaborations in academia and industry and to initiate discussions about where and how the field of NLP should evolve, and what research directions merit additional exploration.
