Congratulation to CS PhD students Rana Shahout (supervised by Prof. Roy Friedman), and Shir Cohen (supervised by Prof. Idit Keidar), on winning The Eric and Wendy Schmidt Postdoctoral Award for Women in Mathematical and Computing Sciences (“Israeli Women’s Postdoctoral Award”) which supports promising women in Israel who wish to pursue a postdoctoral fellowship in the mathematical and computational sciences or engineering at a major institution outside of Israel. Rana's research deals with Sketching Streaming Data: Efficient Methods for Processing Massive Data, and Shir's research deals with Distributed Service focusing on blockchain and other distributed financial technologies
