Congratulations to Assaf Rappaport, a graduate of the faculty, on the acquisition of Wiz by Google for approximately 32 billion Dollars.
This deal breaks two historical records: the largest exit in the history of the State of Israel and the largest acquisition in the history of Google. The purchase amount is more than double the previous record for an Israeli exit – the sale of Mobileye for 15 billion Dollars.
Rappaport, a graduate of the "Talpiot" program, completed a master's degree in computer science at the Technion under the advisement of the Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Danny Raz.
After his studies, Rappaport founded the cyber company "Adalum", which he later sold to Microsoft. In 2023, his picture appeared on the cover of Forbes magazine, where he was defined as "the wizard from the land of Wiz", and last year, Time magazine selected him for the list of leaders shaping the future - TIME100 Next.
Congratulations to Assaf and his partners Ami Lutbek, Roy Reznik and Yinon Kostika, and congratulations on the great pride they brought to the State of Israel!
