Two Israeli companies starred in Nvidia's annual launch last night: Deci and Mellanox.
Deci was acquired by Nvidia last year for about $300 million. Prof. Ran El-Yaniv, a faculty member at the Taub Faculty of Computer Science, and faculty alumnus and CEO Dr. Jonathan Geifman are co-founders, and Technion alumnus Ran Z. is VP of Engineering.
Mellanox was acquired by Nvidia for $6.9 billion. Eyal Waldman, a bachelor's degree graduate at the faculty, is the former CEO and co-founder.
