The SODA 2011 Program Committee awarded Tehcnion CS faculty Dr. Nir Ailon and his coauthor Dr. Edo Liberty (Yahoo! Research, Haifa), the Best Paper Award of the conference, for their paper: "An Almost Optimal Unrestricted Fast Johnson-Lindenstrauss Transform".

The award will be announced at the SODA 2011 conference in San Francisco on January 2011.
