Dr Nir Ailon, with co-author Bernard Chazelle, will receive the 2012 SIAM Outstanding Paper Prize for their paper "The Fast Johnson-Lindenstrauss Transform and Approximate Nearest Neighbors" which appeared in the SIAM Journal on Computing (SICOMP). The prize is given for outstanding papers published in SIAM journals during the three years prior to the year of the award.

Dr. Ailon and his co-author, together with two other excellent papers, will receive the prize in July at the 2012 SIAM Annual Meeting (AN12) in Minneapolis Minnesota.
