The Taub Faculty of Computer Science News and Announcements
The traditional CS
programming contest was
held for the seventh time in a row on Friday, June 22 2012. In the winning team
were Idan Elad, Mike Harris, and Olivier Hofman. Fifty six students - split into 19 teams - attended the contest and set an all time record number of participants.
The teams were asked to solve as many as possible out of ten programming
problems in various fields in Mathematics and Computer Science. The winning team
demonstrated a lot of talent and solved five problems.
The contest was organized by
Noa Korner (tutor in
the course "Competitive Programming") and Prof.
Gill Barequet
(academic supervisor). Idan, Mike, and Olivier will represent the faculty and
the Technion in the prestigious programming contest
ACM/ICPC, to be held in Valencia, Spain in November 2012.
