The CS Department congratulates Prof.
Alfred M. Bruckstein
and Prof.
Michael Elad on their winnig the
2014 SIAM/Imaging
Science Prize for their
paper, co-authored
with David Donoho: "From Sparse Solutions of Systems of Equations to Sparse
Modeling of Signals and Images," SIAM Review, Vol. 51 no. 1 (2009), pp. 34-81.
The prize is being awarded to the authors by the SIAM Activity Group on Imaging
Science for their "fundamental contribution to the theory and practice of sparse
representations and compressed sensing, and their popularization within the
imaging science community".
