The Taub Faculty of Computer Science News and Announcements
The traditional CS programming
contest was held for the
tenth time in
a row on Friday, June 26 2015,
sponsored by Google.
Thirty students (including a record number of 8
girls!) split to 10
teams took part in the contest which
was 5 hours long. The competition was tight and
was won few minutes before the end. The winning teams
solved 4 problems, the second place tean solved 3 problems, 4 teams solved 2
problems and the rest of the teams solved one (see final scores table
hereby).
The students are all graduates of the Competitive
Programming workshop, directed by Roei Gelbhart and Eden
Saig ant the contest is organized and supervised by Prof.
Gill Barequet.
The winners are:
First Team - Ido Hakimi, Dima Kuznetsov and Nitzan Tur
Second Team - Omer Daniel, Aviram Magen and Itay Zuker. The winning team and the second place team will represent the faculty and
the Technion in the prestigious programming contest
ACM/ICPC, to be held in Porto Portugal in November
2015.
