The finals of the 3rd Intel coding challenge competition together
with the Technion Computer Engineering Center, CS and EE faculties was held on
Wednesday, November 25, 2015.
The competition is designed to reward contestants
who develop innovative, creative, and original applications for PC and tablets.
Intel prize committee awarded three best projects, two of them from CS:
Elad Richardson and the Geometric Image Processing Laboratory (
GIP)
for their project: "
CutOut:
Segmentation and Editing of Images on a Mobile Phone" (supervised by Dr.
Anastasia Dubrovina
and
Aaron Wetzler)
Michal Friedman, Yoav Mizrachi and Zorik Gekhman in the Course System
Programming in Arduino Environment, led by Prof. Yossi Gil TAs Boris van Susin
and Marina Minkin , and Dr. Nir Levy on their
project:
"
Robodrink"
- a robot that makes alcoholic cocktails.
